 Ah, great, thanks! Was mostly looking at ways to convert on the server
 (ImageMagick) but that doesn't seem commonly supported.

 Converting in the browser (canvas + js) is a great option (although it
 comes with the normal limitations for large images on low memory devices).
 Tested the demo and it seems to be more or less usable. There are also
 https://www.npmjs.com/package/libheif-js and https://github.com/catdad-
 experiments/heic-convert. Perhaps can look at doing that in 5.6?
