Comment:

 Aside: I also noticed what is possibly a pre-existing bug. Seems to me
 that in the Edit post page it's basically impossible to move a meta box to
 the "Advanced" area. This area has a height = 0 so the jQuery UI sortable
 can't work. See the attached screenshot below, where I highlighted the
 "side". "normal", and "advanced" areas to illustrate the issue.
