 FYI regarding exclusion strings; there's an initiative among developers of
 plugins that provide lazy-load functionality to standardize lazy-load
 exclusion based on `skip-lazy` (class) and `data-skip-lazy` (attribute,
 following the same naming convention as the class). The first is already
 in wide use as mentioned in previous comments, the attribute to some
 lesser extent, but this is expected to change soon. Would be great if this
 could be implemented in core like that as well.
