I doubt, but since my last incursion, I did more research and found a very
interesting post :

While this doesn't solve the problem, it answered lot of questions I had.
On the other hand, it drives me nuts, I mean who cares about supporting
EOL and unsecure stuff but WordPress? I guess it's their contribution to
worldwide accessibility. Well, it has its limits.
For example, all clients we host know that we allow only a specific SSL
CYPHER suit which will prevent old browsers (aka Nokia 6110 mobile owners
still browsing the web with) to access their website for security reasons.
Some might care, some not, it's the way it is. But at the same time, we
don't plan to host every website on the planet like WordPress would like
to "Power" every website.
