 Hi @justinahinon, thanks for reporting this! The issue was discussed in a
 triage session in Slack. It was felt that this should be reported upstream
 in the gutenberg github repo, so I've done that:

 https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues/20206

 I'll close this as `reported-upstream`. If it turns out a fix does need to
 be made in core we can always reopen this ticket.
