 @davidbaumwald I brought this up with the hosting team.

 Here's my opinion in the meantime:
 I agree with a few folks in here that ideally the flush would be targeted
 to the exact files that changed. This would help avoid causing unnecessary
 churn on servers where there are a bunch of auto-updates happening at the
 same time.

 I don't think I'll have time to write something up like that before beta,
 unfortunately. *Ideally* this is something that would get committed before
 beta so it has a bit of time to soak.

 I'm mixed on whether committing something like [attachment:"36455.5.diff"]
 in the meantime would be more helpful or harmful, and will comment back
 when I hear from some folks in the hosting team!
