 I also think that with all the back & forth discussions (which is awesome)
 being the 7th today this isn't becoming optimal for 5.4 I believe.

 Pushing it a bit further atm seems like the best option since plenty of
 questions & iterations have been raised on both Plugin/Theme tickets and a
 featured plugin would be easier on testing and getting feedback outside of
 Trac as well.

 (Shall we start converting to a plugin haha? 😁)
