 I am unable reproduce this on a WordPress install without plugins and
 running a default theme.

 Setting the feed to display 500 posts and the full text of each article is
 working as expected. It is possible a plugin or theme is preventing the
 high number of posts as it can have a performance effect.

 Configuration support is not offered on trac. You can find people able to
 help on the support forums at wordpress.org/support/forums

 I'm closing this ticket as `worksforme`, which is trac's slightly
 unfriendly term to indicate the issue could not be reproduced.
