 Regardless the theme the issue continues.

 I just got reminded of another bug while looking at this deeper, you will
 see inside my attached document that the uploaded images now show enlarged
 and not at their native dimensions as they used to. Something strange is
 happening... (Once again I definitely understand if you cant reproduce it)
 my development site doesn't have this issue. But by looking at the Update
 notes for 5.3 it seems like it could be related to what was worked on
 during that time
