 If it's loaded by WordPress when a site is loaded, it's being tested by
 the scanning companies, as they're checking for the ability to use
 exploits specifically, not simply looking at the version numbers and
 calling it a day.

 I repeat: I've worked with two different companies in the past year, and
 both have done this.  Both flagged it not just for being 1.12.4, but for
 having unpatched vulnerabilities that are fixed in later versions.  And
 they were finding things to flag, even with the software fully updated.
