 Hi @triptrap, thank you for opening this ticket and welcome to WordPress
 core trac,

 Sorry to hear that you have issues with WordPress, but this feature landed
 in WordPress Core last year in WP 5.3…

 I'm going to close this ticket as wontfix. I suggest you to install this
 plugin, developed by a WP core team member to help people that want to
 disable the feature and are not able to do it programatically:
 https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-big-image-threshold/
