 I don't think the new webkit-based one is out yet, but I know they're only
 using it for the rendering engine, and will retain all functionality they
 have currently moving forward. (it's the latest edition as of the feared
 Windows 1903 update that came out this month :) ).

 Quick search, and it looks like there's an `input::-ms-reveal { display:
 none; }` which can be used.
