 Is there anyway to have a custom `.env` file that takes precedence over
 the one included that can be ignored by version control?

 Using `export/SET/Set-Item` commands work, but it does not persist.
 Changing the `.env` file works temporarily, but it's easy to revert those
 changes when refreshing your local environment. Lately I have been using
 `7.4-fpm`, but forgetting to export that option before starting the
 environment has happened for me a lot.

 Not sure if I missed this somewhere in this discussion or the Make/Core
 posts.
