 No great progress on this ticket in a while and there are a few questions
 to answer yet.

 WordPress 5.3 Beta 1 deadline for enhancements is in 4 days on Monday
 September 23rd. If the points above aren't addressed by Monday and the
 patch refreshed, I'm afraid this ticket will need to be punted to the next
 release cycle.
