 consensus] around following Github's example for buttons and inputs:

 > I'm a fan of simple, boring, but clear UI. I personally always think of
 Github's as the gold standard (just talking about UI clarity).

 > inputs have inward shadows. Buttons have a gradient. This is similar to
 patterns in Mac OS (well.. previous versions of it). Because of that
 "standardness" / "stockness", it feels more intuitive for me
