 To further clarify:

 This is the alignment of default input fields and buttons in WordPress
 5.2: the elements are already misaligned (and this can be reproduced on
 all previous versions):

 And these is the current alignment in WordPress 5.3 trunk:

 [attachment:"47477.11.diff"] would solve this issue by making all form
 controls default height 30 pixels.
