 I agree, part of the code committed here is to fix a bug that is clearly
 described in the ticket description. But later another (larger) part was
 added which is an enhancement.

 Adding enhancements to "bug fix" tickets just to be able to commit them
 during beta is not good :(

 From pure "coding" point of view the facts are that these additional
 changes were added far too late in the development cycle and there is not
 enough time to properly test them and ensure they do not bring
 regressions.
