 I'm gonna pick this one up as I'd like to see some movement on it. I'll do
 some testing on the patch when I am able.

 @jepperask thank you for providing the initial patches for this approach.
 On a scan it seems like an ok way to handle it, do we need those changes
 to the packages.lock file though to make this happen?
