Comment:

 {{{42201.6.patch}}} fixes the plugin counter problem only, still need to
 add {{{#adminmenu .awaiting-mod, #adminmenu .update-plugins}}} for plugin
 counter.

 Also if we can add css to {{{.wp-menu-name > span}}} then it will cover
 other menu(theme & plugins) too which have counter option.
