 Hi there @nbi1 and welcome to WordPress Trac. First thank you for your
 submission, it is an interesting usecase. Second, I have some questions:

 - why should this be a core functionality?
 - can't the plugin make sure to remove the pages it created, using maybe
 [https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/register_uninstall_hook/]
 even if they are in the trash?
 - wouldn't concurrent trash/live pages be very confusing for users?
