 You can make REAL folders and organize all your media using the new plugin
 Media File Organizer (https://wordpress.org/plugins/media-file-organizer/
 )

 I helped work on its development for one of my sites and it works great...
 and it is free!

 Please give it a try and see if you like it.  I'm really excited about it
 as a solution for this problem!

 I should add the Media File Organizer is really new and if people like it
 I hope they will spread the word.
