 Hi @narfnarf, welcome to WordPress Trac! Thanks for the report.

 I could not reproduce the issue on a clean install with a French locale.

 It looks like `View post` was indeed translated as
 [https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp/4.8.x/admin/fr/default/?filters%5Bstatus%5D=either&filters%5Boriginal_id%5D=5140856&filters%5Btranslation_id%5D=51889033
 Voir l’article] up until WordPress 4.8.x, however in 4.9.x and newer
 versions it's translated as
 [https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp/4.9.x/admin/fr/default/?filters%5Bstatus%5D=either&filters%5Boriginal_id%5D=6781058&filters%5Btranslation_id%5D=57989845
 Voir l’article], without the HTML entity.

 Could you make sure your translation files are up-to-date? Does the issue
 still happen with all plugins disabled and a default theme (Twenty
 Nineteen) activated?
