 Hi @lamaan, welcome to WordPress Trac! Thanks for the ticket.

 By default, sorting pages by date indeed sorts them by publish date for
 published pages and last modified date for drafts.

 There are plugins like https://wordpress.org/plugins/show-modified-date-
 in-admin-lists/ to add a sortable Modified Date column to the list.
