 Yes, they do.

 That hypothesis seems plausible because earlier today I've managed to
 attach a GDB to a faulty process that was running and the back trace
 showed that the interruption was launched after a garbage collector call.

 I've just left the office but I'll post the trace tomorrow in case it
 helps.
