 I agree we didn't often change this parameter but... on this way... on
 setting page, there's nothing we are often changing

 For example, all settings on this page are setted up on website launch and
 never after... but options exist... so I don't understand why not the
 Excerpt lenght...

 This is my personnal view and will continue on some websites to filter the
 lenght
