 Hi there, welcome to WordPress Trac! Thanks for the ticket.

 To clarify a bit, [https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer PHPMailer] is an
 external library, so `wp_basename()` cannot be used there. Some other
 solution would need to be explored.
