 I came a few days ago about a mysterious edition effect - probably a bug
 in the WordPress Editor.

 Environment:
 WordPress Version 5.3 (Effect in de_DE and also in en_us).
 Classic Editor in Front-End used.
 Theme: TwentyTen

 Steps to reproduce the effect:

 I create a new post and start typing the body text. Everything is ok,
 blanks are inserted in a proper manner.

 I add a More Tag at the end of the first paragraph.

 Then I select the text end of the 1st paragraph to continue to add text to
 this para. As soon as I try to add text at the end of the 1st paragraph,
 just before the more tag, all blanks entered between words are filtered.
 All words are merged together (w/o the blanks).

 If I click into the text - between the characters of two words - I'm able
 to insert blanks.

 If I click into the text of the 1st paragraph (and there is text behind
 the text cursor), I'm also able to insert a text in a proper manner (with
 blanks between words and withouut filtering blanks).

 It seems to me, that the 'blank filtering' occurs just in the case, when
 the text cursor is positionied just in front of the more tag.

 I have this effect on distinct blogs (German, English) and independant
 from a single side or multisite install.

 It's annoying - I'm glad that I'm using an offline blog editor (Windows
 Live Writer) to create the text.

 ch bin gerade auf einen merkwürdigen Effekt gestoßen, der möglicherweise
 ein Bug im WordPress Editor ist.

 WordPress Version 5.3 (Effekt in de_DE und auch in en_us). Classic Editor
 im Front-End im Einsatz. Theme: TwentyTen

 Schritte, um den Effekt nachzustellen:

 Ich lege einen neuen Beitrag an und tippe den Text ein. Es werden Blanks
 sauber und wie erwartet eingefügt.

 Ich füge einen More Tag ein.

 Sobald ich dann am Zeilenende Text mit Leerzeichen eingeben möchte, werden
 diese herausgefiltert. Alle Wörter hängen dann zusammen.

 Klicke ich auf die zusammenhängenden Wörter, kann ich ein Blank einfügen.

 Klicke ich auf den Textabsatz vor dem More-Tag mitten im Text, kann ich
 auch Texte sauber mit Leerzeichen einfügen.

 Es scheint so zu sein, dass die Leerzeichen herausgefiltert werden, wenn
 die Textmarke am Ende des ersten Absatzes, direkt vor dem More-Tag steht.

 Ich habe es hier in verschiedenen Blogs (deutsch, englisch).
