Comment:

 This specific issue has been resolved in Gutenberg and will land in core
 once a major release includes that specific Gutenberg release.  I'm re-
 milestoning this to 5.3 as that's likely when this issue will land in
 core, though subsequent or related issues can be considered before 5.3 as
 necessary.
