 Right, completely agree! :)

 @afercia if I'm understanding it right, Firefox + NVDA works as expected,
 but Chrome + NVDA announces it twice. What are the chances this would be
 fixed upstream in Chrome or NVDA? My thinking is that the simpler the
 solution === the better and doing things in a standard way is most forward
 compatible.

 I kind of like 47318.diff the most (with the escaping from 47318.2.diff),
 as it removes some old old JS as well.
