 Hi @ChrisBAshton,

 Welcome to Trac! And thanks for this ticket. My apologies that it took so
 long to receive a response.

 The `[caption]` shortcode is actually
 [https://core.trac.wordpress.org/browser/tags/5.1.1/src/wp-
 includes/media.php#L1518 only meant to be used with] `<a>` and `<img />`
 tags. I think this is working as expected.

 I am going to close this out, but if you feel `<iframe>`s should be
 allowed within captions, feel free to reopen with some more details.
