Comment (by JarretC):

Perhaps the plugin author should do a better job of explaining what
features their plugin does offer so that the user doesn't have to go
searching in the first place? Or if your plugin has that many features,
maybe it has too many and needs to be broken up into multiple plugins?
This "enhancement" will only tell current and future plugin devs that they
should no longer create plugins geared toward specific ideas but to just
create one plugin and add many things to it.

Why would developer Bob create "Bobs Forms" and "Bobs SEO" when he can
just create "Bobs Plugins" and incorporate both of them into one plugin? 6
months down the road, he can build backups into the plugin, throw a
notification into the dashboard and use his already current plugin
userbase to freely advertise. Meaning that somebody that has put in their
time to develop a plugin specific to backups, loses out on a potential
user as that user would never search for a backups plugin in the first
 place.
