Comment (by joyously):

 Splitting the results into two sections (installed and not) can also hide
 some information.
 If the user searches, and sees the installed plugin far down the list, it
 indicates that maybe the best plugin for the job was not chosen. But if
 that plugin is pulled out of the list, where it stands in relation to the
 other results is lost.
 I'm all for marking the installed plugins prominently, but I think they
 should stay in the same order always, unless there are sorting options
 provided.
 And I still wonder what you are suggesting for the plugin that is
 installed from the search results -- would it move to a different position
 after installation (ajax)?
