 Another suggestion:

  Creating a privacy policy helps your visitors understand what data you
 collect about them, and how it's used. Being transparent helps to build
 trust, and ensures people feel safe interacting with your site.

 Think this sums it best, and doesn't have the problems the other
 suggestions have.
