 This is using Patchwork as a compatibility layer
 https://github.com/tchwork/utf8

 Other CMS, like Concretet5 are using this too.

 Here is a issue for Typo3 with the same topic:

 After tweeting to other CMS and some answers it could be solved with the
 last Apple mac OS 10.13.x

 Can anyone with 10.13.x check this?
