 Lately I noticed a lot of broken image links on a client site. I went into
 the media library and noticed many blank squares of thumbnails for images
 that were supposed to be there. I also clicked the images and noticed
 there was no edit image preview images.

 What all the broken images have in common is that they all use the
 Norwegian letters æ, ø or å.
 What is very much needed is that foreign characters are renamed to English
 characters. (I believe there are multiple tickets for auto renaming
 foreign characters.)
