 Having a large number of widgets can freeze the browser for minutes while
 loading, and crashes Firefox when viewing source. On a site with a little
 more than 500 widgets (mostly ''text'' widgets!) it can be completely
 unresponsive for some time loading wp-admin/widgets.php

 Tested in Firefox and Chrome beta.
