 How can one clear the cached feed?

 Thanks for clearing up what the expected result is. The documentation is
 unclear since it says "This setting **also** affects what users receive in
 their RSS subscriptions." (emphasis mine) which, to me, implies that the
 setting affects both the feed and the frontend.
