 Thanks @chriscct7 that explains sooo much... I had no idea that auto-
 updates were suppressed on .git enabled sites. Many of our sites are git
 repos and we were trying to get to the bottom as to why they hadn't auto-
 updated.

 Providing the button allows any admin to update the minor as many don't
 feel comfortable on the command line.
