 Updated the patch with @tmatsuur's suggestion which should work. Also
 added a `trailingslashit` to the site url path comparison which should
 should solve comment:3 I believe.

 Works on my local setup with WP in a subdirectory but I think there's a
 difference with how it's set up for @fierevere. If anyone could try out
 this patch that would be awesome.
