 Cheers @aduth - In the absence of anyone else having a similar problem I
 will try to rebuild this Docker container (Turnkey Linux, PHP upgrade to
 7.2, xdebug enabled,WordPress locally mounted on desktop disk) and see if
 I can reproduce these issues. If not, I'll likely close this issue and
 chalk it up to a non-backward compatible database upgrade issue
 (uninitialised variable perhaps) from v5Beta3 and v5Beta4.
