 To answer the question easily, it's just how it was done at that time
 without over-thinking about it.

 Further information:

 You can 'create' a new page if you put the option back to `-Select-` and
 hit the Save button to clear the ID, not that it's obvious of course :D
 but that triggers the code of if there's no ID set so the buttons to
 create a page are there again.

 Either way all of these where UI/UX proposals as we where chatting about
 the whole concept and they changed day by day as the idea was to get
 everything in asap and then sit down and refine them as we move forward.
