 No, this has nothing to do with the URL or post parameters. The path
 passed to validate_file is a full path, not a partial one.

 I will dig further and test with XP if needed, but the problem is real and
 the (terrible) patch works. The 2 case from validate_file needs to be
 ignored for a reason. Look deeper into why validate_file_to_edit did it to
 find out why.
