 Okay, I understand your point. Currently the functionality and the
 workflow for the user are different on mobile and desktop and this makes
 it much harder for the user. But I have an idea :)

 We could implement our navigation similar to this one with a dropdown
 arrow. Then the user can decide wether to open the next level of menu
 entries or just navigate to the top level entry.
