 @igmoweb @nicholas_io does [attachment:36451.3.diff] fix the issue for
 you?

 @johnbillion we definitely need to remove the hostname check for the
 `is_admin()` case.  For the broader `is_ssl()` case it seems reasonable to
 me to remove it also.  What do you think?
