 @westonruter just did some debugging for this jetpack code on my local,
 after triggering the issue by uploading a site_icon.

 Basically the wpcom_intermediate_sizes function takes the sizes and
 returns them, doesn't do any filtering. I don't think its this function
 causing the issue.

 I still get the issue even if I temporarily delete that code.
