 Our earlier tests today led us to believe that previewing the page
 dropping the page template only happened on the static front page.
 However, a user just came to me with an issue, and we discovered that the
 same thing had happened on an interior page.

 Also, on my local dev environment, the issue happens ~80% of the time,
 i.e. it's not 100% reproducible.
