 If you need to download the ZIP files, you can find their URLs on the
 release-archive page:
 https://wordpress.org/download/release-archive/

 You will note that the format of these filenames is always the same, and
 the official ZIP can be downloaded directly from WordPress.org, without
 going through a git system.

 Example: https://wordpress.org/wordpress-4.8.zip
