Comment:

 Right now, there's no plan on integrating GraphQL into core. There's some
 great plugins moving forward with it though, and in the long-term, we may
 look at offering it as part of core.

 That said, the utility of it has to be balanced with the amount of code
 that's needed to implement it, so it may be better off in a plugin
 forever. I don't want to offer any promises, other than saying at this
 stage, it's not on our short- to mid-term plans. :)
