 Hi @mcky909, and welcome to Trac.

 Your issue is likely to be related with the image size `post-thumbnail`
 (see
 [https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/set_post_thumbnail_size
 function reference]). It might not be set properly, so WordPress falls
 back to the default size. Another possibility might be that the theme is
 using another non existing image size to output the featured image.
