 @jnylen0 , @adamsilverstein  I've added a patch now that includes the
 additional changes.

 Unit tests now look a lot nicer and `::embed_links()` and
 `::response_to_data()` both now have an additional $request argument that
 is set to false by default to not break anything else.

 Would be happy for this to be tested and feedback is of course most
 welcome!
